Waste- any substance or object, the owner discards intentionally or is required to be discarded.

Disposable Income-money that if left after bills and expenses (e.g. food or energy bills).

Throw away society- a society in which people throw away things rather than mending or reusing them.

Consumer society- a society which has a high demand for consumer products such as TV's, white goods and Mobile phones.

Electronic Waste- waste broken down from any electrical equipment.

Packaging- anything that protects and enables people to carry goods.

White Goods- domestic appliances usualy found in the kitchen.

Incineration- this involved combusting wasre. Sometimes used as a way to generate energy.

Landfilling- this involves putting waste in a hole in the ground and covering it up.

(Energy) Surplus- when energy produced is larger than the consumption of energy.

(Energy) Deficit- When Energy produced is loward than the consumption.
